Frequency of service is at your discretion and availability. Younger helpers are welcome.
Church Decorating Committee The Church Decorating Committee needs volunteers to help generate new ideas and plan the beautiful worship environment. Those who have any creative or artistic skills to share (i.e. flower arranging, decoration ideas etc.) or just want to lend a helping hand are encouraged to share their talents.
Church Decorating Team It takes a small army of parishioners to transform the church décor for each liturgical season from Advent to Christmas to Ordinary Time to Lent and Easter and back again! There are jobs for volunteers of all ages. Even young children can help to "fluff" the Christmas greens for use in the sanctuary. There are tasks of all types, ranging from flower arrangement to setting up the crèche. On occasion, a seamstress or carpenter may be needed for special projects. Give an hour or give several -- many hands make light work. If you are blessed with a talent you would like to share, please let us know!
Plant Upkeeping Once our Church is decorated for the seasons, we need to maintain and care for the living plants. Volunteers are needed to water the plants and clean up any fallen leaves or debris. These volunteers are needed two times per week during the Christmas and Easter seasons. During ordinary time, plants need attention once per week.
Altar Linen Laundering This requires washing and pressing the altar cloths, corporals, and purificators according to the simple proper procedures. It is typically just one small load of laundry. This is a service that is completed at home and includes transporting the linens from and to the sacristy. If you are unable to drive, we could arrange to bring the linens to you. The linens must be washed once per week. The frequency of service is dependent upon the total number of volunteers.
Altar Robe Laundering Launder, press, and mend altar robes. This requires laundering and pressing the altar server albs on a rotating basis and mending the albs as needed. This is a service that is completed at home and includes transporting the albs from and to the altar server hallway. Frequency of service is dependent upon the total number of volunteers. This ministry is open to all parishioners who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Parishioners Helping Parishioners Coordinators Be the contact person for parishioners in need and pair their needs with volunteers who are available to help. We are looking for volunteers to serve on a rotating basis.
Parishioners Helping Parishioners Help care for our parishioners in times of need with transportation and assistance to make area trips to the doctor, therapy sessions, and food shopping. Volunteers may be called to help parishioners during inclement weather with snow shoveling.
Coffee and Donut Socials Help set out and serve donuts, coffee, tea, and juice to fellow parishioners after weekend Masses. This requires coming to Mass at least ten minutes prior to help with any set up needs and then assist with serving and clean up. This is a great activity for families with children.
Funeral Lunch Food Donate food for funeral luncheons. This requires preparing and delivering a food item for funeral luncheons. Signing up for this ministry will put you on a distribution list that will be alerted when a funeral luncheon is scheduled. This ministry is open to all parishioners who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Funeral Luncheon Serving Help set up for, serve food during, and clean up after funeral luncheons. Duties include setting up the social hall for the luncheon, preparing food for the luncheon, assisting during the luncheon, and cleaning up the social hall and kitchen afterward. Frequency of service is dependent upon the total number of volunteers. Volunteers can help with some or all of the duties, depending on availability. This ministry is open to all parishioners who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Younger helpers are welcome.
